New This Year: Vintage Biplanes!
Look to the sky this year for two Stearman Formation Pilots to kick off the festival on Thursday and fly over the parade on Friday. Pilot Rod Hightower and a fellow Stearman pilot will perform their flyovers in two vintage World War II biplanes at the following times:
- Thursday, Aug. 8 – 6:45 p.m.
- Friday, Aug. 9 – 6:00 p.m.
Again in 2024, the Rockin’ the Route 66 concert and street party will feature Emerald City Band at 7 p.m. If you were there for last year’s high-intensity, crowd-pleasing, interactive performance, you know it was worth the trip! Bring someone new with you when you return for this year’s concert. The more, the merrier!
